Drupal Development & Support

A small, senior Drupal team that builds, migrates, and supports complex sites for organizations across the U.S.

Drupal has been at the center of our work since 2008. From new builds and Drupal 7 migrations to Drupal 11 upgrades, custom modules, integrations, and ongoing support, you'll work directly with the developers writing your code. We're based in Denver and work with clients nationwide.

Drupal work we do

We start from what your organization needs the site to do, then build the content model, permissions, and functionality around that. The theme and the module list follow from those decisions.

Most of it is complex work. For CommonSpirit Health's Mountain Region (formerly Centura Health), one of Colorado's largest health systems, we built provider search across thousands of providers and medical locations. For the University of Denver, we helped build a campus-wide platform that runs around 24 sites. For IAALS (the Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System), a national legal research center at the University of Denver, the site holds a research archive that has been growing for more than a decade. Working across every version from Drupal 6 to Drupal 11 is also what tells us where Drupal fits, and where something lighter would serve you better.

Development & Theming

We build Drupal sites around your content and the way your team works: custom themes from original designs, custom modules where your site needs to do something specific, and deliberate use of contributed modules so you are not carrying more than you need.

Migrations & Upgrades

Still on Drupal 7 or another version past end of life? We plan and run the migration, including content, users, and custom functionality, and replatform from other content management systems.

Integrations, Headless & AI

We connect Drupal to Salesforce, HubSpot, Banner and other business systems, build decoupled front ends in React or Vue, and add AI-powered search, assistants and content tools that work from your existing Drupal content.

Maintenance & Support

Launch is the start of a Drupal site's life, not the end of it. Core and module updates, security advisories and performance work keep arriving, and they need someone paying attention. We offer flexible retainer and as-needed plans and support sites whether or not we built them.

  • Guaranteed response times during business hours
  • Emergency availability for outages
  • Continuous uptime monitoring at two-minute intervals
  • Daily backups with tested recovery
  • Dedicated hours each month beyond the update work
  • Quarterly status and review
  • Drupal core and contributed module updates
  • Proactive security monitoring and patching
  • Performance tuning and Core Web Vitals
  • Accessibility audits and WCAG remediation
  • Bug fixes and technical support
  • Feature development and enhancements
  • Reduced hourly rate on plan hours and any extra hours

Why organizations choose Drupal

Drupal is not the right answer for every project, and we will say so when it is not. For organizations with complex content, strict accessibility or security requirements, and a long time horizon, it remains the platform we reach for first.

Rehab Creative is a reliable partner for all of our Drupal development needs including all work from general product maintenance to custom product design and development.

Built for complexity

Drupal handles intricate content relationships, granular permissions, and completely custom functionality. It is less a website tool than an application platform, which is why it holds up as requirements grow.

Open source, no license fees

There is no charge for the platform or its contributed modules, so the budget goes into building what your organization needs.

Proven at scale

Drupal runs government, university, and healthcare sites where uptime, accessibility, and security are not optional. It is a safe long-term choice for organizations that plan in years, not quarters.

Actively maintained and secure

A dedicated security team and a large contributor community mean vulnerabilities are found and patched quickly, and a clear release cycle means upgrades are predictable.

Drupal questions we get asked

How long has Rehab Creative worked with Drupal?

Since 2008. Drupal has been the center of our work for nearly 20 years, across every version from Drupal 6 through Drupal 11, including technical review work on published Drupal books.

Do you support Drupal sites you did not build?

Yes. A large share of our support work is on sites built by someone else. We review the existing codebase, hosting, and configuration first, then take over maintenance without insisting on a rebuild.

Can you migrate a Drupal 7 site?

Yes. Drupal 7 has reached end of life, so it no longer receives security coverage. We plan and run the migration of content, users, and custom functionality to a current version, and we also replatform sites from other content management systems into Drupal.

Can you build ecommerce on Drupal?

Yes. We build on Drupal Commerce, with payments through gateways such as Authorize.Net and Stripe. That has included commerce-enabled event registration across a national catalog of programs for 3d Lacrosse, a browser-based design tool that prices and sells a product configured by the customer for Organize My Drawer, and subscription plans, individual purchases and physical product sales for The Wrap Institute.

Can one Drupal install run several sites or domains?

Yes, and it is often the right call for an organization running more than one brand. Pathlight Mood & Anxiety Center runs multiple domains from a single Drupal install with domain-specific theming, content, admin and role management, so a fix is built once and appears everywhere. At a larger scale, the University of Denver's campus-wide Drupal platform runs on Acquia Cloud Site Factory and carries around 24 sites built from a shared template.

Do you work with organizations outside Colorado?

Yes. Our whole team works from the Denver area, and we work with clients across the United States in higher education, healthcare, government, and the nonprofit sector.

Who owns the code and designs you build?

You do. Clients get full access to every piece of code and every design asset we produce. You paid for it, you own it.

Can Drupal be integrated with AI tools?

Yes. We build AI-powered search, chatbots and knowledge assistants, content workflows, and integrations between Drupal and external models or business systems, including headless and decoupled front ends.

How do you work with our team?

However suits you. We work in the tools your team already uses: Slack, Teams, email, or a project tool like Monday, Wrike, Teamwork or Asana. For some clients we are effectively the web team. Their editors and staff bring requests straight to us, and we take in, prioritize and run that work ourselves. For others, a single point of contact is simpler. Either way, the developer doing your work is the one managing it, so there is no account layer between you and the person writing your code, and none to pay for. We fit how you already work instead of asking you to adopt our process.

Ready for a fresh start?

Whether you need a new website, ongoing support, a custom application, better performance, or just another perspective, our team is ready to help. We usually respond the same day.
